Nope. There's still no VCD of Shirley officially released by Polygram (HK).

That's sad =( I doubt that will it be one since Shirley will not be with
PolyGram anymore...
Thanks for the information though.

The question is, Can they afford her? Isn't $$$ the main reason she
is leaving Polyram?
What other performers are with "fei tao"?

Here's a few of the better labels that I think she could do good at:
EMI, Warner, Rock Records, or even BMG. Personally, I would just
like to Polygram strike a deal with her and keep her.
Perhaps maybe Polygram's daughter company Cinepoly can sign her!

If anyone is interested in seeing a picture of Veronica Yip Yuk Hing,
I have a picture of her on my homepage.

(I still have plenty of work to do on my page, and I'm not totally
ready to release it to the public, but anyone that wants a preview

Perhaps I didn't completely understand what this conversation was about.
I was just looking for a company that would be willing to pay her what
she wants to keep recording albums.
Apparently, you are looking for a label that will promote her to be
their
number one female performer.
I'm afraid I don't know enough about the different labels to make an
acurate guess at what can happen.
Personally, I like all of the other singers mentioned with the other
labels. (Ie: Sandy Lam, Wong Faye, Cass Phang, Ng Wing Mei...).
Oh well,

Sure Shirley will be the number ONE singer of "Fitto" if she really
joined "Fitto," but the main concern is... "Fitto" is a not famous
record company, don't know whether they can produce good song for
Shirley.

You know what? I highly doubt it. If they produced good songs for
Fitto's singers, where are all their singers now? Veronica Yip the
stripper?
Anyway, it's 4:05am in Canada and I'm doing my 7 pages essay overnight

Sure I'm sure the result is "false", they has no power to push a singer
to a higher status, even they cannot keep a singer's status. Well...
You said Veronica Yip, I even don't know who's she... maybe I know her
chinese name anyway. I know a singer called "Leung Ngan Ling" also
under "Fitto," but she's disappeared now... for some years, and "Fitto"
is disappeared for years... haaa. At least I nearly forget this
company. Don't worry, Shirley will have her right choice!!
By the way, writing an essay on "Shirley Kwan's future"? Kidding.

Yeah, but does anyone really know where Shirley's heading? I mean, it's
been quite a while. I don't like Fitto too! Actually, I think Rock
Records would be somewhat appropriate for her.

I don't think so, Rock has Sandy Lam, So Wai Lun etc., and it is quite
clear that Rock is investing a lot on Sandy Lam (although her albums are
not so best-selling now, consider how much Rock has invested in her last
album "Perfect Sensation"!) , so it's not good for Shirley to join Rock.

Me too, I can't recognize any special sound effect from my Sony CD
Player. I personally am not very happy with this album, the songs are
much similar with her "Live Concert" albums! And I really like "Holy
Mary" (with Wong Yiu Ming) and "Love Me Now", but both are not included
in her "88" album -- I am a bit disappointed!

I think you guys are missing the other side of the story.
Surely Fitto is SERIOUSLY thinking of signing Shirley after announcing
an offer for Tse Ting Fung (son of Tse Yin) for a contract of 20mil.
Meanwhile after Cheung Kin Ting left the new admin is restructuring
(not mentioned in the report) and even changed the logo to build up
a new image in the next few months. Shirley is recognized as
"實 力 歌 手 " for her special 唱 功 so it natural for the new
refreshed Fitto to sign her.
All previous Fitto contract singers like Veronica Yip are not
with Fitto anymore.
Be warned that the report only said how Fitto thought of
and no word from Shirley (of course) so don't be misled that Shirley
is heading for Fitto.
Personally would like Shirley head for Go East since she at least
sung a few songs with Tat and Ming.
For the Polygram 88 thing, i'm quite surprised that you can't hear
the difference. I use my discman and crank up the volume the sound
field is wider (especially the older songs) and crisper. It's
much obvious when hear from a good HiFi. If you only have a portable,
then i can't help you. No surround is needed, and don't even try,
surround will just bury things up.
What is your Discman anyway? Sony Discmans sounds crappy from day one.
well, you already know what songs are in the album, there's no
new songs (so i didn't buy Pricilla's since i already have most
of her albums).

I too think that the best company for her is Go East. It still have the
marketing clout of PolyGram, and it appears to be less conservative than
the mother company. Besides, I think it's only natural for her to work with
Lau Yee Tat and Anthony Wong.

Shirley? Does he work with anybody in GoEast, Cinepoly or Musician?

whom the three did the album "Open the Skies" with.
GoEast is yet another spin-off of PolyGram (HK) Ltd.

Dear Brent,
Go East is a new recoed company in HK. ASMOF, it is sort of a subsidary
company of Polygram. Currently, there is three "polygrams" in HK, namely:
Polygram, Cinepoly and Go East. I do not know how exactly the system works
but Go East is getting more & more successful. In a sense I think it is
going to surpass PolyGram soon. The hottest singer at Go East now is a young
female just graduated from US a yr ago. Her name is Kelly Chan Wai Lam
(窅頊琳). Do you know of her? She graduated from a U at NY a yr ago. Her
boyfrriend is studying at RISD (rhode island school of design) here in the
States now. It is said that he is tall & handsome... Another group under Go
East is Dat Ming Yat Pie (帴罦瞿), correct me if I am wrong: I think a
very bad looking jerk called Chan Yat Shun is under Go East, too.
I think shirley is much better off w/ Go East, too! because it is new, it
accept new ideas (i.e. less conservative). The image of which is young and
chic (style of Shirley). It is willing to invest
on its artists. And most important of all, if Shirley goes there, she will
be the #1 female singer there, unlike polygram... I do not think Shirley
gets the respect she deserves under poly.

Which one Daniel/Ray is 窅肇禧 The one in the vitasoy ad? The other one is
a jerk. The other girl under the "Open the Skies" is actually under polygram
instead of go east. Her name is Joyce Yau and she is no longer in the
business. She is working in an investment bank now. The record was "just for

Well... Fitto really surprised me when they made Chiu Hok Yee's "Every 2
seconds" and Joyce Lee's "I love to be loved" last year. They were so fine
in every aspect. Well recorded, well produced, and they both have a good
looking cover. It was a big jump from those Veronica Yip, Leung Ngan
Ling... early fitto crappy things. However, I still don't think they are
capable of keeping such a top quality singer like Shirley. An album of
that quality is actually a must for her. So what exactly is the 20 million
deal for her with Fitto? Do you know?
So what about Go East? Are there any producers other than Lui Chung Tak?
This guy is okay. He makes some excellent songs occassionally.

Yep, Joseph Ip has been the producer of Shirley's albums for a very long
time, I think they are good buddies, too.
Actually, the only think I'm concerned about the new company is whether
the new people will let Shirley has her own way and style. Hopefully,
whoever the new people are, they will not try to change her into another
image or something.

international singer in other markets like Tai Wan and Singapore.Rock on
the other had is more mature and experienced with this.We don't want her

Subject: a 'question'?
Mmm, hi people... this question is not directly related to Shirley but i
thought i'd ask it anyway:
Can you name a few good Chinese female lyricist?
I don't know if it's just me, but looking into my CD collection, i see only
a few female (Chinese) lyricists. Why is that? Why is it always men who
has dominated in this field - surely women can express their views through
music as well as men; the question is, how come they are not as
'successful' or should i say, not as famous as those male lyrists?
I want to hear what women have to say, and not just a soundboard of someone
else's ideas... am i asking too much here? I mean, yes, i understand that
in HK, if one wants to survive in the scene, one must has the look/style,
the right promotion/manager, and a bit of talent/luck. It's not easy, but
hey, i want to hear about the ideas, i want to see your soul, and i do not
want your sex. I think everyone has the freedom to be creative right? Use
that freedom! To me, i think the context is more important and a singer
should use it to touch her listener, to share ideas with them... after
all, i think music is something more than entertainment, it is about
communication as well. It's okay to listen to some 'trash' pop sometimes
but they never lasted long, and the problem is, the market is full of it.
I think Shirley should choose a company that will promise her a freedom to
creat and to support her; and not just use her as the 'goose that lays
golden eggs'. Meanwhile, i'll just sit back and be as supportive as a fan
can be... and wait.
BTW, Jojo? if u'r reading this, please could you not categorize people the
way you did? You labelled "Veronica Yip the stripper"; being called a
stripper is somewhat negative and degrading. In fact, she is no stripper,
it was barely a phase for her, a career move, and a wise (IMHO) one too.
She does has some talent, just take a look in the film Red rose, White
rose. And no, i ain't a fan of her but i do despise the way you used it as
a negative point to 'prove' Fitto is no good for Shirley - well, that was
your point wasn't it?
Personally, i feel it's okay for fans to discuss about the business side of
the entertainer, but surely this has no effect in real life... i mean,
surely Shirley ain't gonna read this and think "geee, she's right, F
company is no good for me and i'd better not have anything to do with it...
let me go and sign the contract with G company!". I found this kind of
discussion is rather pointless...
... and i think i'd better shut up and go before i'm stoned to death...
(this message is kinda messy and i don't really have a point... just a few
thoughts that i'd like to spill in public...)

Hey Nick, you're too tough on them... :)
There's no reason that a female lyricist should have a good look/style.
Whether this is political or managerial or just that few girls write good
lyrics is left unknown, but the fact is that there's domination of only a
few lyricists. Or even that, there's not enough lyricists for this market
and it seems record companies don't give a push and conservatively choose
those who can sell.

Record companies need the little girls to spend, that's why they're
there.

that's why Go East is a good choice, it's new, energetic and open. See
Tat Ming, Kelly Chan, the albums are good enough to buy.
Rock? Man, see how Sandy does (Nick.. ^_*). And Mok Man Wai, she barely
escaped the nude poster/album cover crisis only because her album got
excellent reviews. Bad decision? I think it's bad. Mok's already an
in enough artist and there's no point to sell music to that "gig" level,
especially when the album is being reviewed as a good Alternative.

Hey, what IF she reads this?
This is what this mailing list does, any discussion about Shirley Kwan,
right? It's natural for fans concern which record company would affect
the singer's choice of music and business decisions (they have to eat
and live like you and me, right?) and such discussions should (somehow
maybe) gives the singer a signal what the fans think.

She stripped, did she not? Well, not on stage or clubs, but in movies. And is that
what "freedom of speech" is all about? Why would you think being called a "stripper"
is demeaning? Are you looking down on this occupation? Well, personally I don't
dislike her or anything but it's just to make sure you know who I'm talking about. I
didn't say that she has no talents either. But she chose to strip and that's her

It doesn't matter if Shirley reads it or not. The whole point of this mailing list
is not to have a point, and that's why it's pointless. Not just the topic about
where Shirley's heading, but anything we discussed and opinions we gave seem to be
unproductive for Shirley either. So what? We care about her so we talk about her,
that's what it is. We're just expressing what we think. Too bad you think it's
pointless. I guess it's pointless for you to reply if you think you're replying to
some pointless discussion.

regarding nicholas ? on why the industry does not have female lyricists.
there are also even less music composers probably. i think women who
sing should become more involved with their albums. help produce it,
write a song or two..or the lyrics. it is a start when you not only
sing, but make the music as well. i recently bought a faye wong cd and
found out how she composes and writes as well. her previous albums have
shown similar compositions. i respect her a little more because of that.
it shows her dedication for music. i wish other singers would do the same.
i'm not putting down shirley nor siding with f. wong.just interested in
the way singers are themselves. if one can sing, surely they can feel
their way into writing. am i assuming too much?
anyways,
whatever e' does, please remember your future? for now, release your
album so awareness for your talent is noticed. good luck.

>> Hi Maggie,
Welcome to the e's family. Personally speaking, I really like
Shirley's Concert Live which was relased at the end of 1995. You should
have these double CDs as a collection. It's the best because you can really
enjoy e's live performance and listen to her cue talks. The recently
released Shirley--Poly88 is a good choice for fans only. This is one of the
strategy of Polygram ;or it is even every company's policy to released an
album for an artist when he/she is facing the contract renewal problem. By
adding a litte bit special effects(or re-mix)to the album, the company can
get more (or even last) revenue from the artist. If you are not Shirley's
Big Fans like us, please don't border to buy this kind of "the best" album!
By the way, I think Shirley will not go to Go East because it's the
sister company of Polygram. Just take a look how Go East spent money in
promoting Kelly Chan.....The 2nd Faye Wong. Does anyone here still remember
how Cinepoly(another sister company of Polygram) treat Faye Wong conpared to
that of Shirley! It wasn't fair at all!!!!!! So it makes no sense that Go
East will take Shirley to compete with it's Ace, Kelly Chan.
Both Marlboro and Rock Records wiil be a good choice for Shirley as
these companies have a much stronger financial background than that of the
others. She should be able to get a better chance to have more freedom and
flexibility in exploring her talents.
Last but not lease, every will agree that "It's Fatal to go to Fitto!"

How are you? It is too bad that you have missed Shirley's concert. It was so
fantastic. I went to the last one. It was nearly flawless. During the encore
session, she came out so many times, I heard even the secure that it was so
rare... we had extra songs: "nai duck yau ching yin" once again and "dong
sai kai mo mui gwua" (when there is no more rose in the world..." She cried
big time.

It is a bad news for you to miss Shirley Kwan's concert. It is the
greatest concert I had never seen before. What ever music, background
and the lights in the concert is very good.
I was saw the second one, I remeber it is saturaday. In fact, I wanted
to see the fourth one (the last day of concert). However, the thickets
were sold out. It is too bad for me. However, I still saw her concert.
It is great.
I think you should rent (or loan) a LD to see it. I think you will love
her more than before after you had saw the concert.

Hello,
Does anybody have SHirley's Japanese CD in 1990? I am looking
for a song that's in English on that CD but I am not sure which one it
is. It has the word illumination in the song.
Thanks

Dear Derek:
You wanted to know about the English songs on Shirley's Japanese album...
There IS a song that has the words "illumination"on it:track 9--but I
can't translate the title!!Maybe someone else could bring some light into
that !!But the chorus of this song goes:
"Illumination in my heart(X2)
I've never told him 'I love u'
U've never told him too
Illumination in my heart(X2)
It's like a ring of 3 colour gold
A love we must hold from the start
Illumination in my heart..."...And there u go!!!Hope that was helpful!!!!
BTW, the album is act.,pretty good--I especially like track
4("Moonlight"),although I don't know what the heck she's
singing!!!And,half the album (act.,more than half)is in English--Alright!....
..Best Wishes, Sara L. ;)

Maybe I can give some info here.
Apart from Polygram (HK) mother company, there are three subsidiaries of
it: Cinepoly, GoEast and Musician.
Musician was established in the 1st Q of 96. Singers under this lable are
Lau Yee Tat and a female singer called Woo Pui Wai. Shirley's song Cuddle
28800bps was included in a Tat Lau album released half a year ago, namely

I am so happy for Shirley. She got it. This is so cool. Wong Ka Wai is
artistic. Shirley under him must be chic and it can no doubtedly increase
her prestige worldwide. May be she wld go to the Rock record company after
talking to Leslie Cheung :p But Leslie did not do really well under Rock
either... his first ablum "Beloved and Spoiled" (Chung Ai) was not exactly a
disaster but not good, Golden Branch Jade Leave two (Kim Chi Yuk Yip 2) did
not bring him up much either...
Does anyone of you know when this film is going to be out? I hope it will be

Dear Bonnie,
I think why Kelly is so popular because because she has
Faye's taste and look like Bridgette Lam Ching-Ha.
Beside, not a lot of singer made good achievements like her
on their first year in HK showbiz. I think she can't sings well too,
but to compare with popular singers today when they first came in,
Kelly did a good job so far.

Apart from Bonnie's suggestions, I would like to say the albums "Love is
Forever" (Dec 91), "The Story of Shirley" (Nov. 93) and the mandarin one
"Confused" (Summer 95) are also great ones. Are there any suggestions?
Besides, is there anyone knows where can I buy back the first Remix of
Shirley, of course, the CD Version. I can't find it in the market.

Hi,
Which album is the best you ask? I think some of her English
songs are really good too. I notice that she sings extremely well in
English, with perfect flawless pronounciation. It's unfortunate that
not too many people are aware of this and Shirely herself does not have
too many songs in English.

Yep, Shirley does sing really well in English, prob due to the fact that
she went to school in the states....
Actually, when Shirley was interviewed by Wyman Wong (can't remember exact
date...I have it on tape somewhere..)she was asked:why she doesn't have
more songs in English and would she consider recording another Eng album
--her reply was that the contract with the Japanese record co.(the one
that has all her Eng songs)expired and they didn't renew it..
On why she doesn't have an Eng album out (along the likes of Alex To,
Sandy etc)was cos she didn't think there would be enuf people out there
to buy it,"just me listening/buying to it!"she said(or something along the
lines of that!).
BUT--I heard that her new album (the one that Polygram is currently
putting on hold--anymore news, anybody??!)has an English song on it--but she
wouldn't tell the name of the song--oh well!

There is one English song of Shirley I liked most. It is called "Say
Goodbye" and was included in one of her Japanese album "Say Goodbye" (Nov
89). I have the lyrics of this song, does anyone want it? Since it cannot
be found in the homepage. This song's lyrics was re-written in Cantonese
and was included in the Cantonese album "Love Is Forever" (Dec 91), track
no. 8.

Subject: Hong Kong Question
Dear guys,
I know that this does not really relate to your work but -- I need your
help! Any info' or suggestion helps *_* I know this is a boring topic but I
am doing this speech class and the final project is coming up. Big time acty
:< My prof wants me to do sth "serious", so she "advise" me to talk about
the future of HK. My classmates nod in agreement. So I am kinda stuck w/
this topic. They are all foreigners who have quite a lot of miscon. /
ignorance on the field. I am trying to clear their mind a bit about what is
really going on (though I myself am not clear also :p) So anyways, pls help
me and ans. the following questions...
1. What do you think are the common misconceptions of foreigners on the view
of HK?
2. How to clear them?
3. Are you confy of HK after 1997?
4. What do you expect will happen? (can give more than 1 view)
5. Why do you think that way? (very important)
6. View on China HK-policy?
7. View on Britain HK-policy?
8. View on views of HK ppl (i.e. what do you & your friends think?)
9. Does econ, soc affect poli? How?
Basically they want sort of an overview of the prob. (i.e. history etc.)
That is not difficult to do :> Then they want to know what is gonna happen,
thye may think that "nth will change" but at the same time "everything will
change". What is nth/everything? What is your intepretation? Besides, only
time can tell what future lies in front of us... We are no gypsies to know.
So it is only a matter of different prospectives. So I want to incorporate
as many kinds of attitute to the prob. as possible. I really appreciate a
lot of your time used in this. You can ans the brain-storming questions
listed above or/and just give me short paragraph of how you feel and how you
think of the subject. I know it is mega-mono. but I really thank you for it.
BTW, if you can forward this to a friend, it wld be more wonderful...
I greatly appreciate your time & effort. Reply (ASAP ^_^) pls make to:
Kar-On_Chan@brown.edu Thank you for your kind attention.
Best regards ^_*

(BTW, I don't want to talk about some other singers when this is actually
Shirley's "list." )
Well, Will, I just have to agree with Bonnie Yu. I don't think Kelly Chen is
pretty nor does she sing well, though I have to agree that the pictures in her
albums are of excellent quality (I like photography). I think that she sorta knows
how to sing though not a professional yet. But her "fake voice" sucks -- that's
what I don't understand. Why does she use her "fake voice" all the time?! I
mean, everybody can use that! I think it's one's "true voice" that counts the most
part. And for the other part, of course it's your talents and style. What if
Bonnie Yu becomes a movie star one day? You never know! But I think Kelly Chen
still has a long way to go before she gets to the top. Personally, I WOULDN'T buy
her CD's. I think she's famous just because she's lucky. Being popular doesn't
mean she's really good. You see, not many people like Shirley -- even most
journalists criticize her in negative ways (don't I despise them!) That doesn't
mean Shirley's not talented, as opposed to the truth.
Anyway, my point is, everyone has his/her own opinion, and it's okay for you to
like Kelly Chen, it's just that I don't.

Greetings:
Gosh, what is this issue with Kelly Chen?!!!Oh well!I just have to say that
everyone has their own opinions......
I have 2 questions:
1.What is the name of the movie that Shirley is doing??I think I heard
someone say that it was "No Frills Products"(does this have anything to do
with the Hong Kong 'Wellcome' Supermarket??!)in English, but what is it in
Chinese??(I can't read/decode the Chinese characters on the site,so could
somone pls write it like: "Chung hing sum lum"(that other movie Wong
made...)
2.I was always wondering:does anybody know how Sheryl Crow came to
writing that song for Shirley( "Talking to myself")?
->Did Shirley directly approach Sheryl Crow??
I'm sure Sheryl must've been really busy last year what with all the Grammys
and awards she was receiving. All I heard was that Sheryl wrote the tune
especially for Shirley and Shirley's music team modified it to suit Shirley's
style.
Thanks!
Later,

I might be wrong, but it seems either it is not the same movie, or the
movie has a new name. The romanization of the title of the movie she's
reportedly working on is "Chun Kwong Jar Sit", as in Anthony Wong's hit.

No, I haven't heard of nor have I read a book named "my secret garden."
It's in fact the name of my web page which I'm close to finish creating.
It sort of comes from "Secret Garden" by Madonna (Erotica '92, #13)
since I'm a big fan of hers.

My,my, what a flamed topic we have touched upon....The conflict of
agreements between Shirley list members in regards to whether they think
Kelly Chen is any good or not...
Wouldn't Shirley be appalled if she read those emails!
May I make a comment:This IS Shirley's list and personal(esp.any non
constructive) opinions on other people/stars/celebrities etc doesn't
seem entirely appropriate.I mean, what would *we* say if some one was
dissing Shirley(or making any sort of comments) on the Kelly List??!!
We'd never hear the end of it!!
And,the comment by some one who stated that they prefer Kelly over
Shirley now 'cos Kelly has released several albums this year whereas
Shirley's is being postponed--Is this a plausible reason to make a
preference?!!And we all know it isn't Shirley's fault that this
upcoming album couldn't be released earlier!!
On the topic, here's an excerp of an interview in which Shirley was asked
about her thoughts on Kelly:
(FM997:Dec 31,95)
FM997 DJ: Kelly really was an overnight success!!Do you feel pressure over
this??Does it seem like there is a big wave catching up behind you??
S: She really shot up fast,didn't she?Of course,a wave is needed..I
think that Kelly really has "cheen jut"( NB:SORRY!My Chinese isn't that
great--I think this means "style"or something of the sort...) and as
an artist, experience is really important--I hope she treasures the
experience...
Ok,Later!

Hi! Sara. Where did you get the news that Sheryl Crow wrote a song for
Shirley? From a magizine or your friends? I never heard this news before.
I have totally no idea why Sheryl wrote Shirly a song. I think they are
really different whatever the way they sing and also their image. And you
mention the song 'Talking to myself', from which Shirley's album.
Do you like Sheryl Crow? I'm sure you bought her newest album. How is it?
I read an artical which said that this album is very bad. It doesn't
worth to buy. Is it true from your point of view?

No! Never heard of that either! That's just my nickname - what
everybody calls me. Japanese comics? I don't know any, but I love
Arale-chan (Dr. Slump). And I'm learning japanese and loving it!

To be more exact, Shirley's birthdate is August 15, 1966 (that makes her 30
years old)
Request: Does anyone have a good wallpaper of Shirley for Win 95? If so,
could you e-mail it to me???

I'm pretty sure she's born on August 15, 1967 but of course I can't say
it is 100% correct. Ask Shirley!

Hey Tom!!
Q:Where did I hear that Sheryl Crow wrote a song for Shirley?
A:Well,it was from a Radio Show (FM997,Dec 31st 95,2B precise)--Shirley was
there as a guest for the "Banana Queen" segment.
(I thought the interview was rather pointless and degrading, and Shirley
seemed rather uncomfy in answering the "mo liu" q's )
Anyways,the DJ announced Shirley's new song,"Here's Shirley's new
song!Sheryl Crow wrote it for you,eh?"
She replied, "Yeh..." <--that's all that she said !I think she was
pissed with the question asked b4 the song came up,that's why she said so
little. Those !@#$%^&* annoying DJ's !!!! :{
I checked the credits for the song and it was published by "Old Crow
Music" But how Sheryl Crow actually came to writing it for 'e,I'll never
know....
The song can be found on a remix compilation released by Polygram last
Xmas called "Lucky Sound Remix Collection" (The cover has this really
weird robot type figure made of musical instruments!)
The album has 2 of Shirley's songs on it:
"Talking to Myself" and "Pleasant Dream"(which I think is a *really* fab
song..).Both have this really "alternative" feel to it.
Sheryl Crow's self titled new album is (in my opinion) reallly good--but I
still like her first album (Tues Night Music Club)more. I guess
it'll grow on me.....Anyways,on with the 'e news!!
Hope that helped!!
Ps:Has anybody seen the movie that uses Shirley's song "Pleasant Dream"
('Yee Moong') in it?It's of the same title...
Just wonderin'...
Pps:Many thanks to the people that corrected me re:"cheen jut" and haha, the
second hand car joke was really something.
Later,

Yeah I hafta agree that Kelly Chen can really sing. I mean, take her as a
beginner and I think she's great. About her looks, I think its weird how
sometimes you can think that she's really pretty and down to earth, then
sometimes she can look like she haven't slept for like months. BUT. Before I
get off topic, yeah she does have some sort of ties with shirley, from what I
notice, maybe their style...probably before both of them had fashion design
background. As for sound, she sounds more like Sandy Lam.
Polygram totally should be flamed cuz they put shirley's career in such LAG!
Gosh. I mean she is just beginning to flourish and all of the sudden it stops!
That sucks. My neck is getting longer and longer by day cuz I've been waiting
for so long. It's been a year and a half since her last album!!! What's up
with that??!??!

I also have heard that Sheryl Crow has written that song specially for
Shirley.But I don't know how,I know this when I listen to CR2 and the
DJ's introduction. But I think as Sheryl is not very famous in HK,people
don't bother to mention it.And once it is also said that the composers in
the coming album will be all foreigners. But this news is by Cr2 DJs
almost an year ago.I think this is subject to errors!

To all Shirley's fan,
I would like to ask a question for THOSE who are TOO ACTIVE in the
Shirley list:
"Is Shirley list the Battle field between Shirley and Kelly Chan???"
Should the Shirley's fan like that: Jealous, always criticise...
more appropiate defame other artists???
Does THOSE people have second thought on what they are doing??
I hope the AUTHORITY CONCERNED can take the appropiate action!!

If everyone's arguing about the issue of Kelly Chen, I suggest let's
just drop it. It's better for Shirley and her fans 'cuz this IS the
"Shirley-list," is it not? So, no more comments about Kelly Chen (at
least for a while) 'cuz a lot of Shirley's fans are probably sick of
this discussion about her. I think Kelly should be discussed in HER
newsgroup, not Shirley's. I hope Kelly's fans understand.

They are not the same movie. "No Frills Products" (or Mo Yan Leung Bun)
should be, if any, Wong's next movie. Please refer to

In Metro Radio Music Award 96, Shirley performed Are There Any Real
Friends In Life, Talking To Myself along with Strong Enough. The host
asked Shirley and Shirley mentioned she like Sheryl Crow quit a lot.

In Alan Tam album The One And Only released 1st Q of 96, there are at
least 2 songs from Old Crow Music. FYI, the producer of Alan's albums is
Joseph Ip.
